The Carthage College Division of Natural and Social Sciences and Office of Sponsored Programs invites applications for an Office Manager and Administrative Assistant combined position to begin as early as August 1, 2021. This position provides administrative support to the Division of Natural and Social Sciences and associated departments; and provides administrative and office management support to the Office of Sponsored Programs. This person works professionally and effectively with faculty, students, and campus administrators, as well as with a variety of publics that relate to the activities of the division or sponsored programs. On a daily basis, the Administrative Assistant exercises independent judgment in responding to multiple demands, prioritizing tasks, and responding to internal and external constituencies. In supporting OSP, the person in this position will at times organize and lead meetings, manage timelines, and work independently on projects related to grant administration. The effective coordination and supervision of student employees assigned to NSS and/or OSP is an occasional component of this position.

Essential duties are to provide administrative support functions for the Division of NSS, and administrative and office management support to the Office of Sponsored Programs, and to provide customer-friendly reception and service to faculty, staff, students, and external parties.
