Florida Atlantic University is seeking an Instructor, Davie, FL.

 

We are seeking candidates for an Instructor position to join our community of scholars who are passionate about nursing and want to thrive in a creative and caring work environment in beautiful Boca Raton, Florida. Florida Atlantic University’s (FAU) Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing is known internationally for its dedication to Caring: expanding the science, practicing the art, studying the meaning, and living it day-to-day. We offer four-degree programs (BSN, MSN, DNP and PhD) with curricula that are unique and caring-based with opportunities for interprofessional education with medical, social work and pharmacy students.

 

This Instructor position is a 9-month faculty line. The teaching load is typically 4 course sections for each Fall and Spring semester; assignments are based on qualifications and experience. This position will be primarily teaching didactic courses as well as supervising students at clinical sites for the College of Nursing’s BSN program, Boca campus. Assigned courses will be focused primarily on psychiatric nursing or pediatric nursing areas of specialization. All new faculty have a mentorship team that guides his/her clinical practice scholarship and teaching activities during the first year at the College. Minimum Qualification: 

 

Minimum of an MSN, or doctorate from an accredited institution in nursing (PhD, DNS, or DNP) or a related field at time of application.

Must be eligible for RN licensure in the state of Florida.

Pediatric nursing and/or acute care/medical/surgical/adult health experience and/or specialization is required.

Graduate education/experience in a focused area of practice is preferred.
