Duties Performed in the Usual Course of the Job

Duties will include the teaching of undergraduate and/or graduate courses in the areas of Nutrition, Food Science, and Dietetics.

Lecturer-Pool faculty are term positions hired to teach one to four courses per semester. Course requirements may include a combination of teaching on-campus classes at the main campus in Huntsville, and/or online classes, depending on the needs of the academic department. Lecturer-Pool faculty hiring is based upon student demand, on a semester-by-semester basis.

Educational Requirements for the Position

Applicants must have at least an earned Master’s degree in Nutrition, Food Science, Dietetics or closely related content area.

Experience Required for the Position

Experience in dietetic practice and teaching at the college level is an asset.

Other Requirements for the Position

Applicants who are a Registered Dietitian (R.D.) accredited by the Commission of Dietetic Registration and eligibility for Texas Licensure is preferred.
