Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

This term instructor position for the 2021-2022 academic year is part-time and will reside in the Mathematical & Computational Sciences department, which is currently comprised of seven full-time faculty. There are four majors offered by this department: Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Data Science, and Mathematics.

The Department of Mathematical and Computational Sciences at Benedictine University invites applications for a part-time term instructor position in Computer Science with an anticipated start date of August 30, 2021. Successful candidates will demonstrate commitment to excellence in teaching and will be responsible for teaching a variety of courses, including the foundational Java programming course sequence.

Required Qualifications:



A M.S. in Computer Science is required by the start of employment. Expertise in the area of web development with appropriate industry experience is required. The applicant should be knowledgeable about a variety of topics in web development, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, build tools, servlets, JSPs and modern frameworks. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the USA at the time of appointment. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled, but priority will be given to those applications received by June 30, 2021.
