Position Summary

Responsible for collaboration and communication with regional high schools to develop and implement equitable opportunities for students for participation in Collegiate Academy, Early College High School and P-TECH programs or comprehensive dual credit opportunities for public, private, charter and home school students in order to achieve certificates, degrees and prepare for seamless transfer to universities and employment.

Manage the planning for student cohort information, orientation, application, enrollment, transition and graduation processes, summer bridge programs, and campus student engagement activities. May be responsible for the management of centralized Educational Partnerships functions focused on improving the quality of the Dallas College student experience in dual credit. This includes continuous improvement efforts with enrollment and textbook management, faculty support, pathways development and monitoring and dual credit student college and career readiness.

Ensures business goals are achieved by applying business strategies and developing organizational objectives.
Requires a dynamic understanding of relevant laws and policies and the ability to independently analyze problems, search for strategic solutions, organize and influence individuals to meet the vision, mission and goals of the organization and Dallas College. Ensures operations function to promote diversity and professional growth.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Ability to provide leadership, oversight and accountability for the operational effectiveness and efficiency of dual credit, Early College High School, P-TECH and T-STEM partnership agreements, enrollment and learning materials management, pathways development, dual credit student and faculty support, data reporting and continuous improvement to achieve goals.

• Ability to manage complex projects; plan and evaluate processes or programs; examine and re-engineer operations; recommend policy, develop, and implement new strategies and procedures.
• Ability to support strategic direction by identifying actions necessary to achieve task(s) completion and obtain results meeting timelines, budget, performance goals, etc.
• Able to collaborate with Dallas College and school district partner leadership and/or stakeholders regarding ways to improve the functionality of the organization in the best interest of the students.
• Exhibits strong leadership and interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse cultures and populations. Able to manage internal and external relationships in ways that promote the best interest of all stakeholders.

Minimum Knowledge and Experience

Bachelor’s degree or higher

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Build and maintain positive and collaborative working relations with diverse stakeholders and constituents within the Dallas College community network including independent school districts (ISDs), Charter/Private Schools, community agencies, and industry partners., to evaluate academic programs and processes, analyze current and future needs of the students and community, and obtain recommendations/ changes to enhance existing programs.

• Follow protocol for decision-making using resources and tools provided to resolve problems related to the implementation and expansion of educational partnership programs.

• Gather facts, research, and develop data reports and solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness of processes, procedures, and outcomes.

The Manager is responsible for one or more of the following functions:
Logistics Leadership: Lead the organization of high school and Dallas College personnel in the planning for student cohort information, orientation, application, enrollment, transition and graduation sessions, summer bridge programs, and campus student engagement activities.

• Coordinate cohort progress and pathway monitoring with high school counselors and administrators and Educational Partnership coordinators, communicating needs for changes or problem resolution to appropriate Academic Success Deans and department chairs from Dallas College Schools.
• Manage processes for monitoring cohorts’ academic status and communication with high school administrators, students, and parents, planning for cohort transition from high school to college campuses.
• Manage course requests and rosters received from ISD partners to ensure student pathway completion and appropriate hand-offs to appropriate Educational Partnership personnel and Dallas College Schedule Management and Enrollment Management managers.
Enrollment and Textbook Management & Faculty Support: Responsible for coordinating and improving dual credit enrollment management processes with Schedule Management (Academic Success), Student Success and Information Technology areas.
• Responsible for compiling dual credit enrollment information to submit to Follett and Dallas College IncludED teams, coordinating communication to school districts regarding IncludED processes, and communicating with all charter, private and home school students’ procedures for ordering and receiving learning materials.
• Collaborate with Follett and Information Technology on the development of workflows and technology applications to more efficient processes resulting in on-time deliveries of learning materials.
• Responsible for coordinating training and assignment of high school personnel from school districts as facilitators to sections of courses in which dual credit students are enrolled.
• In coordination with Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning, provide workshops and materials for credentialed high school instructors who are dual credit faculty.
• Responds to inquiries from Dallas College faculty for support with dual credit courses.
Dual Credit Student College & Career Readiness Support: Collaborates with school district partners and Student Success areas to provide college and career readiness preparation solutions, including planning for academic preparedness through bridge programming, workforce learning and internships and career readiness resources and experiences developed by Dallas College, state or national institutions.
• Develop and distribute communication and materials from welcome to graduation specifically for dual credit students.
• Coordinate the development, execution and required posting in Jaggaer and on the Dallas College website of over 250 dual credit, Early College High School, P-TECH, and Industry Partner interlocal agreements.
• Collaborate with Systemic Reporting and Marketing on producing ‘report cards’ each semester for partners and internal reporting to administrators and Dallas College Board of Trustees.
• Plan celebration events each semester for partners and graduates.
Pathway Development, Progress & Completion Reporting: Responsible for coordinating the initial development and annual updating of ECHS, P-TECH and Collegiate Academy pathways with school districts, Dallas College Schools, and the North Texas Community College Consortium.
• Develop systems for monitoring cohort progress with pathways, recommends adjustments/improvements to ensure successful completion, and coordinates degree audits and graduation applications with Student Success areas.
• Coordinate the development, execution and required posting in Jaggaer and on the Dallas College website of over 250 dual credit, Early College High School, P-TECH, and Industry Partner interlocal agreements.
• Collaborate with Systemic Reporting and Marketing on producing ‘report cards’ each semester for partners and internal reporting to administrators and Dallas College Board of Trustees.
