Applications are invited for appointment as Non-Tenure Track Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Diagnostic Radiology (Ref.: 504390), to commence as soon as possible, on a three- to four-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
Applicants should possess a medical qualification registrable in Hong Kong and the F.R.C.R. (UK) or equivalent, preferably in the field of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) or Positron Emission Tomography (PET). They should have proven capacity and potential, and a track record of active research and successful external research grant applications. They should also demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching, be able to reinforce and advance the strengths of the Department in the broad spectrum of medical and health sciences education, and be capable of conducting postgraduate courses and supervising M. Phil. and Ph.D. students. Ability to speak Cantonese will be an advantage, although teaching, research and professional activities are conducted in English. The appointee is expected to organize, develop and teach undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, conduct high-quality research, provide clinical services and training at the University’s teaching hospitals, and contribute to administrative duties in the Department and the Faculty. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary. A monthly cash allowance will be offered to the successful candidate. Housing benefits will also be provided as applicable.
