The Division of Biological Sciences in the School of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) at the University of Washington Bothell (UWB) invites applications for non-tenure track Lecturer Part-Time faculty in Ecology and Evolution. We are seeking a candidate to join our faculty on a part-time basis (40% - 100%) for a 9-month service period and with opportunities to teach during the summer. Appointments may be for multiple years (1-5 years). The start date is September 16, 2021.

We seek colleagues who are excited to work in an inclusive and interdisciplinary culture of learning, and the primary responsibility of these positions are teaching and service. Faculty share an essential commitment to excellence in teaching and enhancing learning opportunities for a diverse student population. Instructional responsibilities for this position are focused, but not limited, to teaching laboratory classes in Ecology and Evolution (BBIO 180) and potentially Cell and Molecular Biology (BBIO 200). Further courses for early undergraduates may be developed. A successful candidate will have experience in early undergraduate education, and in team teaching and developing labs. They will join a teaching team that is enthusiastically committed to student access and excellence. Attending professional development opportunities offered by the School of STEM is encouraged. Qualifications
- A Ph.D., or foreign equivalent in Biology or closely related field
- Experience in modern teaching methods in Biology
- Experience in running early undergraduate laboratory exercises.
