Job Title Visiting Assistant Professor of Biology Rank Visiting Faculty Tenure Information Non-Tenure Track Job Description

Providence College’s baccalaureate program in Biology seeks one full-time visiting faculty member to fill a one-year position beginning in August 2021. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated commitment to and/or experience with engaging diverse students both in the classroom and potentially through collaborative research experiences.

Essential Duties

This candidate will be expected to teach the program’s required introductory general biology course and lab sections, and an upper level course lab course in the area of organismal or environmental biology for majors and environmental biology courses for non-majors. The position includes health or dental insurance benefits, and the salary at PC is competitive.

Education and Experience Required

Applicants are required to have a Ph.D., a strong commitment to undergraduate education, and be able to foster an inclusive, collaborative atmosphere among students and faculty.
