Position Summary:

Our lab is interested in hiring a highly motivated individual capable of independent work. This individual will be an integral part of an active lab that studies the development of the nervous system. Specifically, we are focused on understanding the underlying cytoskeletal mechanisms involved in the outgrowth of neuronal processes, using cutting edge microscopic techniques. We use the mouse as a model system for our studies.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

Bachelor's degree in the Biological Sciences, or related field required.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

One year of experience working in a research laboratory required; undergraduate lab experience will count. Primary cell culture experience required. Ability to work with mice and rats is required. Microsurgery experience is preferred. Microscopy experience is preferred. Experience with lab management duties such as inventory and equipment management and supply ordering is preferred.
