Position Summary:

We are seeking a candidate who will assist our ongoing research directed towards understanding the mechanisms of targeted therapeutic resistance in pancreatic and hepatobiliary cancer. The candidate will perform supervised work on a project employing patient-derived organoids by conducting bench research experiments and analyses. The candidate will be expected to help prepare experimental results for presentation and publication.

The Research Specialist position will work with the Principal Investigator of Center of Human Genomics and Precision Medicine in the UW Laboratory of Jeremy Kratz MD at the UW Carbone Cancer Center.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

Bachelors degree in chemistry, biology, or other natural, life or health care science is required.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

At least 1 year of experience working in a research lab with animals is required. Experience with basic laboratory procedures such including cell biology/culture, microscopy is preferred.
