Syracuse University is seeking to hire an individual to the position of Director for the InclusiveU program within the Taishoff Center for Inclusive Higher Education. The successful applicant will be the leader of the InclusiveU team and will report to the Executive Director of The Taishoff Center. The
Director of InclsuiveU will help enact true inclusion for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities at Syracuse University and ensure effective operations, oversight, and implementation of the vision of InclusiveU. This person will be responsible for overseeing all aspects related to the success of InclusiveU students, including managing processes and procedures, alignment of programs within the university, supervising program coordinators, and recruitment and retainment of students. This position will work with students, parents, community agencies, SU faculty, and staff.

Qualifications

• Masters in Education, Non-Profit Management, Public Administration, Higher Education, or related field (required).

• Experience working with Individuals with Intellectual Disability (required).

Job Specific Qualifications

• Knowledge of systems management.

• Understanding of inclusive higher education.

• Knowledge of Higher Education systems and structures.

• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all processes and procedures for InclusiveU, including admissions, billing,
registration, advising, person-centered planning, course modifications, and others.

• Supervise InclusiveU coordinators and other staff, interns, and student employees as
needed.

• Coordinate the alignment of InclusiveU within the University, including collaboration
with the business offices, billing, bursar registration, financial aid, University College,
health and safety systems, campus departments, and other infrastructure as needed.
• Collaborate with the Taishoff Center leadership team to assess needs, problem-solve situations, and assist in building and implementing structures that promote success.

• Interface with students, families, faculty, staff, outside agencies, and other constituents as needed to recruit, retain, and support students and promote the program.
