The University of Florida Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine is accepting applicants for an Assistant/Associate/Full Professor. This non-tenure track position will report to Dr. Reinhard Laubenbacher in the Laboratory for Systems Medicine.

The Division's research faculty consists of 9 principal investigators whose research interests include: transcriptional control of innate lymphoid cells, biology of alpha-1 anti-trypsin, iron regulation as anti-microbial host defense, mechanisms of fibrogenesis in interstitial lung disease, role of myeloid-derived suppressor cells in pulmonary hypertension, development of cyclic dinucleotides as novel vaccine adjuvants, the role of innate lymphocytes in transplant rejection, how protein regulation within B cells controls antibody quality, the role of Vitamin D in respiratory health and airway epithelial cell dysfunction, olfactory loss and nasal mucus biomarkers, alterations in the immune system associated with chronic respiratory diseases and organ transplantation, and the development and application of mathematical and computational technology for the improvement of human health . The academic environment of the University benefits from a strong and collaborative faculty, and state of the art research space.

Candidates must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Mathematics. Candidates are expected to have extensive project management experience, in particular IT experience. Candidates should also have experience in helping manage team science projects in Systems Medicine. Prior experience in the development of mathematical algorithms and their application to problems in systems biology, in particular the modeling and simulation of molecular networks is preferred.
