Position Summary
The School of Engineering and Applied Sciences ( SEAS ) at the University at Buffalo (UB) invites enthusiastic, forward thinkers to instruct, engage and inspire students through a variety of part-time adjunct instructor positions. We are particularly looking for candidates who can operate effectively in a team environment and in a diverse community of students and faculty and share our vision of helping all constituents reach their full potential.
Candidates should have the ability to teach a range of seated or on-line courses in a discipline of expertise at the undergraduate or graduate level as needed. Essential functions are: demonstrate appropriate knowledge of subject; provide students with appropriate learning materials and expertise in assigned subjects; evaluate students’ performance and provide effective feedback to guide student learning and success; and contribute to maintaining an inclusive and collaborative environment.

The School of Engineering and Applied Sciences has 9 academic departments: Biomedical Engineering; Chemical and Biological Engineering; Computer Science and Engineering; Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering; Electrical Engineering; Engineering Education; Industrial and Systems Engineering; Materials Design and Innovation; and Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering.

Minimum Qualifications
For a position that requires teaching an undergraduate course a bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline/field.
For a position that requires teaching a graduate course a master’s degree in the relevant discipline/field.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
For a position that requires teaching an undergraduate course a master’s degree in the relevant discipline/field or registration as a Professional Engineer.
For a position that requires teaching a graduate course a PhD degree in the relevant discipline/field.
