Position Description:
This position is dependent upon continued need and funding related to Covid 19. This benefited position is expected to begin on July 12th and last for 6 months with prospects for extending.

DEFINITION: Under the general direction of the Senior Director of Health and Wellness Services, the Exposure Tracing Manager is responsible for managing individuals and executing exposure tracing/support tasks, and communicating/coordinating with other departments about exposure incidents/relay recommended actions determined by the EOC/IMT Exposure Response Team. RESPONSIBILITIES: Essential Functions:
  1. Assure compliance with CSUMB COVID-19 Prevention Plan exposure response protocol (AB685, Cal/OSHA ETS).
  2. Respond to instructions from EOC/IMT Exposure Response Team and Test Stakeholders.
  3. Manage the Exposure Tracing Analysts, providing oversight related to COVID-19 safety.
  4. Oversee compliance of the CSUMB COVID-19 Vaccination Policy and Testing Program.
  5. Supervise Exposure Tracing Analysts and their compliance responsibilities including vaccination tracking/reporting; support compliance and report violations to appropriate departments.
  6. Attend meetings to review COVID-19 test results and positive cases as needed.
  7. Receive and review COVID-19 positive reporting forms processed at the daily on campus testing clinic, as well as COVID-19 positive reporting forms submitted by off campus community members; assign case follow up to appropriate Exposure Tracing Analysts, forwarding positive forms information as needed.
  8. Supervise Exposure Tracing Analysts with tracing/support tasks; communicate/coordinate with other departments about exposure incidents/relay recommended actions.
  9. Serve as coordinated member of Exposure Tracing team with University Personnel/Corporation HR, Health & Wellness Service and Student Life and other departments with special COVID-19 protocols.
  10. Communicate with COVID-19 Testing Staff Manager and Clinic Leads regarding testing clinic operations and exposure updates.
  11. Write/review reports, memos, letters, email, use of electronic, paperless, and hard-copy fill-in forms, and workflow systems. May update online materials and information related to COVID-19 prevention.
  12. Participate in all OSHA and University safety programs, as required, and follow all work safety guidelines.

Other Functions:
  1. May support other safety measures as needed and appropriate, during low or no positive cases.
  2. May plan agendas, conduct, and attend CSA team meetings (virtual and/or in-person).
  3. Performs other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL WORK ENVIRONMENT: There are components of this job that are deemed essential on campus. This position will primarily work on the main campus, with occasional work from home. This position requires working on campus with students, staff and faculty. The health and safety of our students, faculty, and staff remain our highest priority. In the fall, students, faculty, staff, and the community can expect that masks will be encouraged and that the appropriate degree of social distancing will be in place in all areas based on evolving guidance. Additionally, all students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to be vaccinated before coming to campus. Updated June 29, 2021: Corporation employees will be required to provide their vaccination status by mid-July through an on-line portal.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Requires fundamental written and oral communication skills, including a sound foundation in English grammar, spelling, and punctuation; an ability to work independently with some supervision; an ability to supervise others; an ability to understand standard office procedures; an ability to operate standard office equipment; an ability to learn office technology systems; an ability to perform basic mathematical calculations; typing and keyboard skills; an ability to maintain confidentiality while working with sensitive information. Advanced technical skills with accounting enterprise systems, reporting, complex spreadsheets, databases, query tools, pivot tables and use of MS Office products.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university;
AND
One year experience in coordinating work through a system of internal procedures and internal controls to ensure efficient operation;
AND
One year of supervisory or managerial experience

Must possess a valid California Driver’s License and complete and pass training in Defensive Driving. Must continue to meet the established driving standards as a condition of employment. A parking permit must be purchased while on campus.
This position is expected to work to 40 hours per week with early evening and weekend hours as needed.

Compensation and Benefits:
The University Corporation is committed to providing our employees with a comprehensive program that rewards efforts that are appreciated by your colleagues, students, and the customers we serve. The monthly salary for this position is $4,584. This is an exempt position and as such is not eligible for the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, long term disability, TSA 403(b) (if duration of employment extends beyond six months), vacation, and holidays.
