Position Summary:
This position is responsible for the day-to-day Idaho Agricultural Experiment Station (IAES), University of Idaho business operations at the USDA, Agricultural Research Service, U.S. Sheep Experiment Station (USSES) in Dubois, Idaho. Primary responsibilities include personnel management; budget, fiscal and payroll processing; and coordinating business efforts with USDA. Specific duties include purchasing feed, supplies, equipment, and animals for the location; managing IAES animal/animal product sales and equipment inventory/surplus; and coordinating immigration and H2-A processes and overseeing IAES and H2-A international employees working at the location.


Minimum Qualifications:
•Experience developing and disseminating business correspondence such as email, memos and letters and reports.
• Experience using standard accounting, word-processing, scheduling, and spreadsheet apps/programs/software.
•Some experience in caring for common farm animals and pets.


Preferred Qualifications:
•Experience with the U of I Banner System, Chrome River and Argos.
•Ability to communicate in Spanish.
•Associates or Bachelor’s degree in business, office management, accounting, or similar field.
•3-5 years’ experience providing administrative support.


Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
•Ability to occasionally lift, carry, and/or otherwise move at least 50 lb.
