Position: Program Coordinator for the School of Business

Classification: Administrative Staff - Full-Time - 2080 Annual Hours

Reports to: Dean of the School of Business

Description: The Program Coordinator provides professional administrative support for all educational programs and activities within the School of Business at Carroll University. This person manages the coordination of all events and activities within the School of Business in addition to course scheduling, expanding partnerships with companies in the southeastern area, and collaborating with faculty and other academic departments.

Responsibilities:

Program Coordination

  • Enhance the recruitment, retention, and professional development of students by overseeing the School of Business programs.

  • Interface and coordinate with the with the Analytics and Business Intelligence Consortium Director and its operations.

  • Expand and strengthen partnerships with companies in southeastern Wisconsin to help assist students with internship opportunities.

  • Collaborate with faculty and academic departments to identify and promote internships, developing and monitor current internship sites.

  • Partner with faculty and Advising center in the support of student academic development

  • Contribute to the planning and implementation of school events and meetings.

  • Support the Dean and the faculty in the assembly and reporting of assessment data compiled and analyzed by faculty

    Program Administration

  • Assist with the maintenance of program-related files and administrative responsibilities associated with expenses, including travel reimbursement forms, catering quotes, honoraria, etc.

  • Support the Office of the Registrar departmental goals, objectives, policy, and best practices that align with the University's mission and strategic enrollment management goals.

  • Organize tasks and agendas.

  • Manage systems and processes for faculty hiring, faculty records and special compensation (e.g., adjunct, overload, and internship).

  • Responsible for the management, supervision, scheduling, and training of the student staff in the school of business.

  • Oversee and issue payment requests for overload courses and internship supervision.

  • Assist as necessary on special projects and with the daily support of the Dean of the School of Business.

    Event Coordination

  • Partner with the Dean of the School of Business with organization, coordinating and overseeing the management of events, programs, and trainings.

  • Facilitate collaborations and support external outreach efforts with community partners.

  • Identify relevant speakers, guests, and experts for campus events including but not limited to Yersin Business Scholar Events, Executive in Residence Series, Student Award Celebrations, Homecoming Events, ABIC Conferences, and Wisconsin Business World Competitions.

    Data Management

  • Assist the Dean of the School of Business in the collection and analysis of relevant data (scholar participation, budget expenditures, activity outcomes, and assessment data).

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree required

  • Higher education experience preferred

    Technology Skills:

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite

  • PC Proficient

  • Desired skills with social media and analytic software



    Human Relations Skills:

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

  • Customer service oriented

  • Ability to adjust to changing work environment and to respond to changing institutional needs
