The University Recreation Department is seeking qualified
candidates for the position of Administrative
Duties include, but are not limited to: provide overall office
management and administrative support to the Director of University
Recreation; serves as a liaison between department’s professional
staff as well as campus offices, off-campus agencies, and others;
maintain the department calendar and supervises/coordinates special
department events; develop and monitor compliance with annual
budgets; consult with program personnel regarding the availability
of funds and preparation of funding requests and reports; conduct
complex special assignments; maintain confidential information;
prepare and maintain records; provide consultation on
administrative policies and procedures; coordinate personnel
activities for the department; coordinate meetings with
professional staff as well as student staff for the department;
provide support, when necessary, to Athletic coaches housed in
the HTC Center (Men’s and Women’s basketball, volleyball
and beach volleyball); and perform other duties as assigned by the
Director of University Recreation.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and two
(2) years of relevant job experience are required.
A bachelor's degree is preferred. Candidate should have
strong interpersonal and verbal skills. This is a high-level energy
position with daily direct conduct with students.
