Reporting directly to the associate vice president of diversity, equity, inclusion and institutional success, the director of intercultural affairs works collaboratively with the campus community to establish programs and services to promote the success of ALANA and LGBTQ identified student populations on campus. The director assumes an active role in supporting, mentoring and linking students to various campus resources to enhance social and academic success.  The director contributes to the inclusive excellence goals of the college through program development and serves as an advisor to select cultural/affinity student organizations.  The director works very closely with the student affairs division and may also assume some on-duty responsibilities as directed by the vice president of student affairs and dean of students. Qualifications include a master’s degree in Higher Education, Counseling, or other related program, a minimum 2 years’ experience working with ALANA students and LGBTQ student populations, experience in program development, proven ability to work effectively with others while being independent and self-motivated, demonstrated involvement in student affairs or other  professional organizations / associations.
