Job Description
The Department of Mathematics at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University seeks to fill a 9-month full-time Visiting Assistant Professor position to teach core mathematics courses on our Daytona Beach campus, beginning spring semester 2022. The position includes a 5-5 teaching load, most likely in the core Pre-Calculus algebra – Calculus, with no expectation of service. Advanced candidates may have a later opportunity to grow within the department through potential future promotion opportunities such as non-tenure-track assistant professorship.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants should hold either an M.S. or a Ph.D. in mathematics (or related discipline such as applied mathematics or mathematical statistics), but candidates with an M.S. or Ph.D. in a closely-related discipline (such as Physics or Engineering) with 18 credit hours of graduate mathematics coursework in their degree may also be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to applicants with prior teaching experience at a university or state college.
