Candidate Profile

These qualifications, skills and abilities are critical for success in this position.
Throughout the screening process, you will be evaluated based on the demonstration of these qualifications.

  • Demonstrated experience in updating and maintaining databases, online planning documents, media tallies, etc., with great attention to detail.
  • Evidence of an ability to maintain an organized work flow while juggling multiple priorities and deadlines for completion.
  • Knowledge of purchasing, requisition and contract processes.
  • Demonstrated evidence of an ability to quickly learn and use the company’s ERP System; Banner experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with budget management.
  • Advanced level of proficiency with Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) to perform tasks such as setting meetings and lobby visits, creating spreadsheets, forms, surveys, and more.
  • Ability and ease with arranging all logistics pertaining to travel, conferences, webinars, etc.
  • Demonstrated experience and comfort with providing support for event planning.
  • Experience with detailed collection of background and information for projects like legislative reports, ethics reports, online media tallies, division job searches/postings, interviews, etc.
  • Exposure and/or experience working with change management, and evidence to demonstrate adaptability and flexibility in changing work environments.


Minimum Qualifications

To be considered, your application must demonstrate these minimum qualifications. (Experience is calculated based on the start and end dates you provide multiplied by the number of hours per week worked).

  • Training and experience equivalent to a high school diploma or GED
  • Five years of responsible administrative support experience (College or business school training may be substituted for up to two years of the experience requirement).
  • Experience in a secretarial role or capacity is desirable.
  • Other combinations of experience, education and training that would provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities will be considered.


Position Grade 20 Starting Salary Expectations The first two steps of the range are: $46,997 to $48,404 per year. Higher salary placement may be available based on qualifications, experience and internal equity. Position Grade Salary Range $46997 to $75414 Annual Salary FTE 1.0 PCC Benefits

PCC currently fully funds the Oregon Public Employees Retirement System (PERS/OPSRP) pension and contributes an additional 6% into the employee's Individual Account Program under PERS/OPSRP. PCC offers a tax deferred annuity program and a deferred compensation program where employees may save additional pre-tax dollars for retirement.

Additionally, PCC provides a tuition waiver for yourself, domestic partner, and dependent children under 24 years of age. Partial tuition reimbursement for yourself at other accredited institutions (full-time employees only).

Paid Leave: (Pro-rated by FTE for Part-Time Employees)

  • Starts at 8 hours of vacation leave per month (additional vacation hours with years of service)
  • 8 hours of sick leave per month
  • 24 hours of additional personal leave days per year
  • 11 Paid holidays

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Incumbents typically work in an office setting but may be assigned other duties such as transporting office supplies and equipment.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Duties typically involve managing multiple priorities, handling interruptions, deadlines and other work pressures.
  • Some positions may involve limited local travel.
