Department of Social Sciences: Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice

Medaille College invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice. Responsibilities of the position include teaching a four/four course load in Criminal Justice, while working collaboratively with other faculty in program to remain current in the curriculum in this subject matter. Courses may include Criminal Law, Law Enforcement and Constitutional Law. Other Courses in Criminal Justice are also available. This is a ten-month contractual position with teaching responsibilities beginning annually in mid-August 2021 and ending in mid-June 2022. The initial appointment to the position will be for a one-year term, with consideration for a longer-term appointment thereafter.

Applicants must hold a J.D. degree (or the equivalent) and should have outstanding records of accomplishment in scholarship, teaching, and service. Applicants must have a strong commitment to teaching in a small college setting and to the education of diverse populations, a perceived ability to work productively with students, and the ability to work effectively with others in a collegial environment dedicated to student learning.
