The Political Science and International Relations Department at Ibn Haldun University invites applications for 2 full-time faculty positions. The ranks are open and the appointment will begin on September 15, 2021. Candidates will be affiliated with Haydar Aliyev Center for Eurasian Studies and they are expected to be specialist in the specified subfields:

• Politics of Central Asia and Caucasus
• International Security/ Security Studies with specific focus on Central Asia and Caucasus region
• International Political Economy/ Energy Politics

Qualifications: Candidates should be Turkish or Azerbaijani citizens (fluent in Turkish) and  must possess a Ph.D. at the time of appointment from an accredited institution, have strong training in Political Science, International Relations, Security Studies with specific focus on the sub fields that are mentioned above. Candidates’ research and teaching agenda should be compatible with the priorities of the Haydar Aliyev Center for Eurasian Studies and the Political Science and International Relations Department. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to maintain dynamic scholarly productivity, and a willingness to be active in service to the university.

Responsibilities: Successful candidates will teach undergraduate and graduate level courses.  Active research and publication agenda and willingness to engage in collaborative research with the Haydar Aliyev Center for Eurasian Studies.

Ibn Haldun University (IHU), founded by TURGEV in Istanbul is an endowment university with the vision to stand out as a “research” university in social sciences.
