Primary Purpose of Position:
The Department of Nursing at North Carolina Central University has a critical need for a Lecturer. The Lecturer will teach nursing courses, labs, simulations, and develop instructional material related to Adult Health. The Lecturer will evaluate student clinical performance according to established criteria and course objectives. In addition, the Lecturer will perform related duties such as advising students on academic curricula, formal and informal instruction, counseling students, original scholarship or research, preparation of new courses, and serve on various campus and community committees.


Minimum Education/Experience:
Master’s degree in nursing required.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Commitment to diversity and inclusion in fulfillment of the university’s mission; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills; excellent analytical skills and reasoned judgment; ability to work both independently and collaboratively with others; candidate must have at least two years of clinical experience in Adult Health; candidate must have at least two years of teaching experience in Adult Health.
