Responsibilities
Note: The position will be hired either at the Assistant Director or the Associate Director level depending on the experience of the candidate selected.

Reporting to the Senior Associate Athletics Director for Advancement, the Assistant/Associate Athletics Director for Development is responsible for executing all events benefiting the unrestricted and restricted annual athletic goals set forth by the Vice President of Advancement and Vice President of Intercollegiate Athletics. This includes sponsorship, volunteer, campus partner and prospect identification and cultivation to increase revenue for annual Athletic priorities. Meeting the expectations for continual expansion of Athletic Development programming and revenue goals is essential to this position's success.

1. Lead the planning and execution for all athletic development event fundraisers benefiting the Gael Athletic Fund. Responsible for meeting fund-raising and attendance goals for all events in partnership with the Associate Director of Athletics for Development and Senior Associate Director of Athletics for Advancement. Lead sponsorship outreach, identification and partnership on solicitations. Also, responsible for post event follow up and communication to donors, volunteers and sponsors. Other tasks include marketing, logistics, volunteer coordination, bookkeeping, auction item fulfillment, campus partner communication and briefings, both pre and post event.

2. Coordinate all athletic development event fundraisers benefiting the team fund and endowment priorities, including Tip Off Dinner, Meet the Gaels, Meet the Players, Bases Loaded Brunch, XC Texas Hold'em and additional events as assigned. Responsible for meeting fund-raising and attendance goals for all events in partnership with the Associate Director of Athletics for Development and Senior Associate Director of Athletics for Advancement. Also, responsible for post event follow up and communication to donors, volunteers and sponsors. Other tasks include marketing, logistics, volunteer coordination, book keeping, auction item fulfillment, campus partner communication and briefings, both pre and post event.

3. Develop and coordinate campus partner (coach) relationships and volunteer committees, as assigned, to benefit athletic fundraising & event goals. Includes the management of various coach and volunteer relationships to increase philanthropic and sponsorship opportunities. Work with Annual Giving team and coaches to program crowdfunding opportunities.

4. Identify alumni, parents, and friends that are potential prospects and sponsors for future assignment to GO team and solicitation, based on involvement in Athletic Development events. Growth in major donor identification and sponsorship opportunities will be coordinated through conversation with the Senior Director of Development and Prospect Management.

5. Responsible for assisting in stewardship activities, including reporting on impact of participation, planning and executing small gatherings, and other programming as identified.

6. Manage Athletic Development student workers and interns.

7. Other Duties as Assigned Assist with other Development assignments as requested.

Experience and Qualifications
Education: REQUIRED: Bachelor's PREFERRED: Master's

Experience: Five or more years of successful budgetary, marketing or related administrative experience in a higher education setting is highly desired.

Assistant Director: One year of related experience. Associate Director: Three years of directly related experience at an assistant director or program management level.
Skills/Abilities: Budgetary expertise; marketing and strategic planning skills; data management and analysis; detail-orientation; collaborative communication and decision making skills.

Other Requirements: Commitment to the aims and ideals of the College. Some evening and weekend work.
