Kenyon College is conducting a search to fill the position of Digital Content Editor. The Digital Content Editor creates and curates content for Kenyon’s digital platforms with an emphasis on building community through engaging storytelling and genuine reciprocity. With a deep understanding of social media and a talent for perfectly pitched posts, this savvy, quick-witted individual is Kenyon’s central voice — and ear — in the digital landscape.

The editor is on the forefront of the College’s efforts to reach a variety of important audiences, with an emphasis on prospective students and parents and those who influence them, including current students, parents and alumni. The editor is tuned into the conversations that are occurring and emerging in the communities that matter most to us, particularly on our own campus, and understands how they intersect with institutional goals.

With a keen editorial eye, the editor possesses a knack for identifying stories that promote Kenyon’s brand and speak to the soul of the place. An expertise in Kenyon’s digital platforms — social media, webpages and enrollment marketing emails — allows the editor to make astute judgments on how stories can best be told and on which channels. The editor also tracks analytics on these platforms, informing the communications team’s decisions about the creation and use of digital content.

Reporting to the Director of Creative and Brand Strategy and collaborating with members of an ambitious and fast-paced communications team, the editor plays an important role in the expression of Kenyon’s brand by contributing to staff meetings and brainstorms and advising on creative and editorial projects.
