Job Summary
Support all time off functionality in Workday and assist the HCM leads on best practices, issues, and enhancements. Serve as primary resource for entering all employment data in the college enterprise system and ensuing that all information is accurate and up to date. Act as the liaison for Dean of the Faculty’s office and School for Social Work for faculty employment matters. Lead coordinator with payroll to ensure the smooth flowing of information and processing between the HR office and the payroll office. As a member of the HR team, this person is responsible for building and maintaining positive working relationships with team members, internal customers and external vendors.

Essential Functions
Workday Data:

Work with the HCM Workday team to maintain time off and other functionality, while supporting departments across the campus be more fluent in Workday and independent from HR for basic data processing. Serve as the primary processor of information detailing employment and compensation information to ensure accurate data is entered into Workday for faculty and staff within set deadlines. Provide retroactive compensation calculations to ensure employees are paid correctly. Act as the primary liaison with the Talent Acquisition and Total Rewards team in insuring that all worker data is accurate and processed properly. Administer terminations and final vacation pay process, including payroll auditing for terminating employees. Assist in development of campus-wide data standards. Oversee administration of all staff time off plans. Assist with the configuration and maintenance of time tracking and absence functionality in Workday to ensure proper payment of employees.

Database Audit and Reporting:
Using Workday and in collaboration with the HR technology specialist and HR Project Manager, continuously automate and improve our auditing and reporting processes. Ensure successful recurring audits of employee information to maintain the integrity of the data. Monitor data to ensure accuracy of information and compliance with college-wide standards. Audit limited term positions end dates and notify managers to ensure that they are aware of timelines regarding the termination dates of limited term positions. Work with HR Technology Specialist to design reports that meet needs of HR department. Provide support for workforce planning and analytics.

Employment/Administrative:
Monitor the HR inbox for messages and triage them as appropriate. Respond to employment verifications and DUA unemployment claims, monitor/approve unemployment charges and represent the College at appeal hearings. Work with Associate Dean-International Students to ensure that all needed documentation is received for international employees, including visa, etc.. Act as back up for other positions in Human Resources. Perform related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications (knowledge, skills, education, experience, certifications, licenses):

High school diploma or equivalent, plus three to five years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Preferred Qualifications :

Ability to take initiative and solve problems; attention to detail; ability to multi-task and prioritize work effectively; excellent communication skills; ability to create and maintain accurate and detailed records; ability to be precise; type accurately and efficiently; proofread/audit own and others’ work; and must be able to meet deadlines. Must be able to maintain confidentiality and interact effectively with a diverse population.
