Purpose of Position

The Kentucky Center for Mathematics’ Program Manager will provide leadership to elementary teachers across the state of Kentucky. The primary responsibilities will be to organize and facilitate professional learning in both a face-to-face and virtual mode. In addition, the KCM Program Manager will oversee the daily budgetary revenue and expenditures within KCM . This will require close work with the finance and facilities personnel of NKU . This position will report to and work closely with the KCM Executive Director and Director to ensure smooth operations of the center.

Primary Responsibilities

1. The Kentucky Center for Mathematics Program Manager will oversee the operations of the KCM elementary programming. This will include but is not limited to facilitating elementary professional learning for KY mathematics educators, coaching elementary mathematics teachers, creating the annual calendar for KCM professional learning with a focus on the elementary courses, overseeing administrative assistant’s workflow, communicate with KCM participants, and interacting as a KCM regional consultant as needed to support district initiatives within the KCM .

2. The Kentucky Center for Mathematics Program Manager will oversee the budgeting of the center. The duties include but are not limited to annual budget forecasting, maintenance of a shadow budget to ensure effective operations, review of revenue and expenditures with NKU SAP system, quarterly reports to KCM stakeholders about program operations/revenue/expenditure goals, and clear alignment of budget with KCM mission and vision. NKU finance and facilities community to represent KCM in all meetings ensuring the highest quality processes, protocols, and reporting of state funds.

Qualifications

Minimum bachelor’s degree in education or mathematics required, master’s degree preferred. Additional finance and administration training degrees preferable such as educational administration, finance or business degrees. Certifications related to mathematics education and intervention preferred. Minimum 5 years in an educational setting and 2 years related management experience required. Must have experience in administration in an educational setting including professional learning, overseeing personnel, and budgeting. Must have ability to lift up to 25 pounds of boxes and ability to travel overnight. Location- On campus at Northern Kentucky University.
