Job Summary

Auburn University Theatre seeks a specialist in communications and marketing to assist in the activities of a thriving, active theatre department.

Essential Functions

Tasks include developing marketing and communication plans to promote the vision, mission, goals and achievements of the theatre department in collaboration with the college, alumni affairs office, or other University partners.

Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to make and maintain a marketing budget and work with vendors, internally and externally, to execute plans. This position will lead and coordinate recruitment efforts for the department by working with the department chair to make recruitment plans, facilitate student visits and tours, coordinate recruitment events on and off campus, and maintain contact with prospective students.

Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to research, design, and compose materials in a variety of media, print and digital (such as internal or external publications, brochures, posters, newsletters, websites, presentations, development/fundraising materials, press packages, or broadcast media).

This position will also assist with various Box Office tasks as needed.

Education Level

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
