Job Summary
The Coordinator of Family Empowerment Center ( CFEC ) leads the South Campus Family Empowerment Center. This position develops programs and manages partnerships which will directly impact student retention, matriculation, and graduation. The FEC provides training, skills development, and enrichment activities which enhance the campus community. The CFEC Reports to the Director of Student Development Services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Coordinates office operations, manages budget, and establishes goals which align with the TCC Mission and integrate 3G8P work
• Cultivates and maintains campus and community partnerships to synchronize optimal student support services such as the Food Pantry
• Serves on various College and Campus committees to provide relevant subject matter expertise
• Stays informed on best practices related to student services, student resources, and trends in student retention on all levels (e.g., campus, local, regional, national, etc.)
• Develops intentional and supportive staff development through TCC and subject matter association opportunities
• Assists with marketing and web page management for the Family Empowerment Center
• Meets with community partners to discover grant opportunities that supports students and/or the community
• Maintains a relationship with state representatives for grant funds while also working with the Grants office
• Manages, and supervises the department’s employment activities including recruitment, hiring, training, and payroll processing
• Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
• Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College ( TCC )
• Supports the values of the College: diversity, teaching excellence, student success, innovation and creativity and service to the College
• Supports the mission, values and 3 goals and 8 principles of the College

Required Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensures
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Education, Social Work, or a related field
• Five (5) years related experience
Desired Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensures
• Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Education, Social Work, or a related field
• Relevant experience in managing non-profit partnerships to leverage resources and services to the community
• Experience working within a college or university setting
Knowledge, Skills and Ability
• Experience with computerized systems
• Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
