Lead, Service Delivery Associate



Summary

The Lead Service Delivery Associate is responsible for collaborating with specified BCM missions and their leadership to optimize the relationship with Supply Chain Services. The Lead Associate will receive and investigate demand signals, understand critical needs of assigned mission areas, and work with mission and senior leadership to achieve procurement needs. This role will be considered the subject matter expert on procurement for a given mission/area, and requires mastery level knowledge of procurement best practices and compliance requirements.

Job Purpose

The Service Delivery role will operate in a system wide total spend of ~$400 million as a team member of professional staff. This role, in conjunction with the Manager of Service Delivery, will help to develop a procurement roadmap for the transformation and change for a given service delivery area. This position contributes to the development of goals and procurement planning efforts for its mission/area.

Job Duties
  • Assist in the development of a roadmap for transforming a service delivery function
  • Assist to streamline the requisition to pay (R2P) and procure-to-pay (P2P) processes for mission partners including legal, compliance, and finance approvals
  • Create a customer centric service delivering new value for a specified mission/area
  • Measure and report employee and customer satisfaction with the BCM Service Delivery function
  • Report quarterly on customer satisfaction and KPI's
  • Assist in the creation of procurement procedures that conform to Uniform Guidance, compliance, and regulatory requirements standards so as to protect the Baylor College of Medicine by mitigating risk and maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and local laws
  • Develop strong working relationships with all internal stakeholders and leadership to become a trusted partner


Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Six years of relevant experience.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters, MBA, or other advanced degree is preferred.
  • Additional professional certifications in Procurement is preferred.


Other
  • Extensive experience with procurement processes, tools, and metrics
  • Knowledge of Uniform Guidance and FAR regulations is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of P2P tools, SAP ERP systems, contracting tools, and spend analytics
  • Advanced knowledge of analyzing opportunities for consolidation of spend, suppliers, and services
  • Knowledge of SAP, Lawson, Jagger and McKesson automation and supply chain procurement tools
  • Experience in process ownership and aggregating spending and use of common suppliers and service providers in a highly complex and decentralized organization
  • Polished presence, judgment and positive personal track record in leading in a dynamic organization
  • Dynamic and polished communication style and capability across all executive and management levels displaying savvy and collegiality
  • The highest of personal integrity, honesty, business ethics and respect in dealing with people and organizations
