The UNCP Department of Music invites applications for a temporary part-time accompanist for its musical theatre program. Dates of service are from August 18, 2021, to November 5, 2021, approximately 15 hours per week.

Duties include playing for vocal lessons, departmental recitals, and a musical theatre song-performance course, as well as weekly individual rehearsals with students. The possibility exists for additional evening and weekend work on the fall musical theatre production (title TBD).
 
Work Location: Main campus of the University of North Carolina at Pembroke.

Minimum Training and Experience Requirements: 

Candidates should sight-read well and have knowledge of a broad range of musical theatre styles; the ability to realize accompaniments from lead sheets would also be helpful.

Master’s degree in Music preferred (especially collaborative piano), but candidates with appropriate professional experience in lieu of degrees may also be considered.
