Lecturer, Religious Studies

Skidmore College’s Religious Studies Department invites applications for an adjunct instructor position in Religious Studies for the Fall of 2021. The candidate’s teaching and scholarly interests should focus on one or more religious communities in the United States, with special consideration given to candidates with demonstrated interest in the interactions between and among religious communities. The successful candidate will bring academic training in Religious Studies or related field (History, Anthropology, Gender Studies, etc.) and will teach one section of RE 105: American Gods, an introductory-level course that explores the religious diversity of the United States.

Candidates for the position should fill out an online faculty profile and attach the following documents: letter of application, c.v., and sample syllabus or syllabi of courses taught and/or projected.
