The School of Education ( SOE ) at Loyola University Chicago invites applications for a 1-year, part-time, non-tenure track faculty position in the Administration and Supervision program area. The selected individual will join faculty in the SOE’s CAEP -accredited graduate programs, all of which are shaped around the SOE’s conceptual framework of advancing professionalism in the service of social justice.

The main responsibilities of the selected candidate include the following:
 Primary responsibilities include providing administrative support for the administration and supervision programs. For example: leading the alignment of new standards for the programs’ assessments and course, facilitate the transition of courses to the new evaluation management system, support accreditation work, support for recruitment and admissions processes, facilitate networking opportunities for current students and alumni, supporting field placement work for administration and supervision internship and practicum courses.
 Maintain a 1/2 teaching load (teaching one course in the fall and two in the spring, on the average) of graduate courses in the Superintendent and Principal preparation programs.
 Advise students, engage in service to the administration and supervision programs, the SOE, and larger university, community, and profession.

Successful candidates will demonstrate expertise in both school leadership at both the district and school levels, with experience in both public and Catholic school settings. We seek candidates who will collaborate with colleagues across the program, SOE, and larger university to build an anti-racist administration and supervision program. Candidates will also demonstrate a strong commitment to urban education and dedication to serving a historically minoritized P-12 student body in the greater Chicago area consistent with Loyola University Chicago’s commitment to advancing social justice through transformative education. Candidates will demonstrate a commitment to collegiality and collaboration within the administration and supervision programs and larger SOE and University community.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
1. Earned doctorate in School Psychology, preferably from an APA and NASP accredited program
2. Licensed and credentialed school psychologist through the state education agency

Preferred Qualifications:

1. 5+ years of experience as a practicing school psychologist
2. Experience supervising school psychology practicum students and/or interns
3. Holding the Nationally Certified School Psychologist ( NCSP ) credential

Physical Demands Working Conditions Minimum Education and/or Work Experience

1. Earned doctorate
2. A current Professional Educator License in the State of Illinois with both the Superintendent and Principal endorsements.
3. Experience with leadership in both the Public and Catholic educational settings
