Position Details

Reporting to the Director of the Center for Pedagogical Innovation ( CPI ), the Administrative Assistant III will provide support for all programs that fall under the auspices of the CPI , which includes the Office of Faculty Career Development ( OFCD ).

Responsibilities include:
Manage general inquiries via email, phone, and in-person and process incoming mail.
Manage and reconcile budgets;, A/P vouchers, travel reimbursements, and other financial transactions.
Coordinate the logistics for center events (e.g. speakers, exhibitions, talks) to include scheduling, publicity, room reservations, travel, and catering arrangements.
Coordinate travel accommodations and transportation for CPI staff, faculty, and guests.
Coordinate the annual new faculty orientation program.
Support OFCD faculty development programs
Serve as building steward for CPI / OFCD offices and shared spaces: maintain key inventory, distribute keys, update building directories; maintain bulletin boards, check and replenish classroom supplies on a daily basis and process work orders as needed.
Maintain websites for CPI and OFCD and faculty/staff listservs.
Hire and train students; oversee student time submission.
Perform other related duties and projects as assigned.

This is a part-time, Grade III position that is in the Secretary/Clerical bargaining unit. The position works 910 hours per year, approximately 19.75 hours per week for 43 weeks, with reduced hours during the summer.


Minimum Qualifications

Associate Degree and four years related experience. Related experience and training may be substituted for educational requirement.

Previous budget management experience.

Demonstrated attention to detail.

Demonstrated proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook.

Previous experience with database management applications.

Proven ability to manage multiple tasks.

Effective communications skills.


Preferred Qualifications

Previous grant management experience.

Previous experience working in an academic environment.
