Position Summary:

The Mehle lab at the University of Wisconsin Madison is looking for a highly motivated scientist to study the influenza viral replication machinery and the host factors that regulate expression of viral genes and replication of the viral genome. Successful applicants will be scientifically ambitious with a record of published research success and a PhD or equivalent. A strong background in biochemistry, molecular biology, high-throughput sequencing or coding/bioinformatics will be advantageous. Candidates with prior experience studying virus: host interactions and viral host range restriction are preferred. Experience with influenza virus is a strength.
