If you have a passion for making a difference, this could be your opportunity to join our transformative team.   POSITION TITLE:   Graduate Program Manager   POSITION SUMMARY:   Manages the ongoing administration of the Graduate Program on the Florida campus and works closely with colleagues at the California campus to ensure smooth and cohesive Graduate Program operations. Builds and maintains relationships with faculty, administrators, and external partners and coordinates projects and services to support student success from recruitment through graduation.   RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
  • Manages the ongoing administration of the Graduate Program on the Florida campus and serves as the main contact for students, faculty, and staff for the Graduate Program on the Florida campus.
  • Provides information and guidance to graduate students regarding academic requirements, payroll, benefits, housing, health, safety, personal and other issues as needed to ensure a smooth progression through the program. Makes appropriate referrals to internal and external resources when needed.
  • Informs Graduate Program faculty of responsibilities, program policies, and procedures; develops, nurtures, and maintains ongoing relations with faculty members to ensure that Graduate Program objectives are carried out efficiently and that faculty concerns and needs are handled in an effective manner; assists faculty with conducting committee meetings, course development, and disciplinary actions.
  • Maintains accurate student records and monitors students’ academic progress; ensures that proper paperwork is submitted by students in a timely manner; manages the scheduling of and staff attendance to students’ committee meetings and thesis defenses to ensure that students are meeting their academic requirements.
  • Collaborates with colleagues across the Institute to design and deliver creative, evidence-based services and programs that promote student well-being as well as academic and professional development.
  • Works with the student organizations and Graduate Student Council to ensure smooth relations with the Office of Graduate Studies and to address issues or questions as they arise.
  • Ensures information regarding the Graduate Program is easily accessible and properly conveyed; manages the ghostwriter policies surrounding letters and memos written on behalf of the Graduate Program.
  • Provides support for critical office functions including admissions, onboarding, orientation, fellowship administration, and graduation.
  • Evaluates Graduate Program operational needs, establishes work objectives, and ensures that the office functions in an efficient and professional manner.
  • Coordinates assessment and accreditation efforts on the Florida campus.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Master’s degree in higher education, educational administration, student affairs, counseling, or related field required.
  • Five or more years of experience working in academic advising and/or student affairs for a graduate school or undergraduate program at a university or college.
  • Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and access.
  • Experience in student recruitment, admissions, records, assessment, career services, or financial services is a plus.
  • Experience in academic program marketing and social media desirable.
