The Department of Counseling and Learning Sciences ( counselingandlearningsci.wvu.edu
) at West Virginia University invites applications for Part-Time
Adjunct Faculty positions to teach undergraduate and graduate
courses in Fall 2021, Spring 2022, and Summer 2022 semesters.
The Department of Counseling and Learning Sciences houses four
undergraduate degree programs and seven graduate degree programs.
The department values intellectual diversity and demonstrated
ability to work with diverse students and colleagues. Areas of need
include, but may not be limited to, classroom and online courses in
child development, family science, counseling, addiction studies,
and rehabilitation counseling.
These positions at minimum require a master’s or doctoral degree in
child development, psychology, counseling, or a related discipline,
as well as evidence of effective teaching at the undergraduate or
graduate level. The positions available in the counseling area may
require counseling experience and/or holding appropriate licenses
in the field.
Applications will be accepted throughout the year and will be
considered as openings arise. Salary is established on a per-course
basis. While these positions are not anticipated to be
benefits-eligible, individual positions may become
benefits-eligible based on course load - which may vary depending
on departmental need.
