Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in Management and Strategy in the Faculty of Business and Economics (Ref.: 504364), to commence as soon as possible for three years.

This position is created for a series of research projects on the Greater Bay Area (GBA) and the role of Hong Kong in the GBA. Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Economics, Strategy, or a relevant field. They should possess frontier knowledge of industrial agglomeration and regional specialization, with a particular focus on the evolution of Guangdong and the role of Hong Kong in the evolution. Applicants with knowledge of spatial models of urban economics as well as experience in conducting large-scale data analysis are highly preferred. Prior experience in organizing large-scale projects and surveys is desirable. They should also demonstrate excellent ability to communicate effectively both in writing and in oral presentations in both Chinese and English.

The appointee will work closely with the Principal Investigator and the Co-investigator to conduct research under their supervision in a predominantly independent manner. He/She will be responsible for collecting data, supervising large-scale surveys, conducting statistical analysis, constructing theoretical models relevant to the transformation of the GBA, and preparation for reports as well as publications in peer reviewed journals.
