Job Description:

The College of Saint Rose invites applications and nominations for an Assistant Professor /Instructor of Management in the Huether School of Business, beginning August 2021. This is a one-year appointment continuing through May 2022. A Visiting Faculty member may be offered an appointment of one or more additional years after successfully teaching one academic year.

Readying students to excel in every business function in any organization, the Huether School of Business offers programs in a wide range of disciplines, from finance and accounting to management and marketing. Offering undergraduate degrees and the Masters of Business Administration, the Huether School is accredited by ACBSP.

Responsibilities will include teaching 12 credits (3 courses) per semester of graduate/undergraduate courses in Management from among the following courses:

BUS 210: Business Communications
BUS 246: Organizational Behavior
BUS 363: Labor and Employment Law
BUS 364: Organizational Staffing

Additional responsibilities include attending school meetings and holding office hours.



The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. from an accredited program in Management, or a closely related academic field, at the time of appointment on August 12, 2021.

An ABD from an accredited program in Management, or a closely related academic field, will be considered if the degree will be completed within 1 year from date of appointment.

Additional requirements include a minimum of five years of experience in the field of management; four semesters of college level teaching experience in the management curriculum; a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and superior written and oral communication skills.

Visiting Instructor title applies when the selected applicant holds a Masters degree.

Visiting Assistant Professor title applies when the selected applicant holds a terminal degree.
