An adjunct position is open in the Master’s in School Leadership Program at Providence College. EDU
505 School Law provides candidates in training with the ethical and legal foundation required of school
principals. Students will interpret and apply current local, state, and federal educational laws, rights,
policies, and regulations and demonstrate the appropriate skills to serve as professional and ethical
leaders and advocates for all students.
Qualifications: A Master’s in Education and substantial experience in applying and adhering to school
law are required for this position. Educators in the positions of special education director, assistant
superintendent, or superintendent, or attorneys specializing in school law will be considered. An
administrator/attorney team would also be considered. This course will run in the fall semester, starting
September 2021 and one other semester during the year (either spring or summer).
Essential Duties
The position includes the following additional expectations:
• participation in morning faculty meetings every six weeks
• participation in program accreditation preparation and visits
• participation in ongoing program improvement efforts
• participation in individual student advisory meetings which serve as assessment and culminating
project presentations.
