Director, Shields Center for Innovation
The Shields Center for Innovation is a new, exciting and transformative initiative at BC High, a Jesuit, Catholic private school for boys in Grades 7 - 12 located in Boston. The Center has been made possible through the extraordinary generosity of alumnus Mr. Jack Shields '79. The inaugural Director is a key member of the Principal's Leadership Team, and has a unique opportunity to work with this team and the broader school community to build an innovation program from the ground up. The Director will help shape the culture and processes required for innovation to succeed and thrive in the school and will develop a portfolio of innovation initiatives. Develops and implements a cross-function plan that creates a relational space for new ideas. Responsible for leadership, management, programming and growth of the Center. Creates and directs long-term strategic plan to establish the Center as a model for innovation education regionally and nationally.
Requires a minimum of 5 years experience in an educational setting, with entrepreneurial or business experience highly desirable. Strong communication, strategic thinking, organization and collaboration skills essential. Hands on experience with innovation and education, deep knowledge of trends and research, and experience having integrated a program of innovation or similar into a broader educational program desirable.
