The Program in Animal Behavior at Indiana University invites applications for a full-time non-tenure track Lecturer position in Animal Behavior. The Program in Animal Behavior offers a BS degree in Animal Behavior (https://animalbehavior.indiana.edu/). The successful candidate will be expected to teach and continue development of four undergraduate courses per academic year, including the Animal Behavior major’s core courses in Animal Behavior, a laboratory course in animal behavior, and advanced topical courses relevant to animal behavior; and supervise our internship program. Interest and expertise in teaching courses relevant to animal conservation is desirable.
Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Animal Behavior, Behavioral
Ecology, or a closely related field (postdoctoral training is a
plus) at the time of appointment, strong communication and
organizational skills, and have documented evidence of independent
classroom and laboratory teaching ability. Salary is
commensurate with experience.
