The VCU site manager will work with project co-director, Brian Daugherity to develop and implement National Endowment for the Humanities ( NEH ) workshops for school teachers, held virtually in July 2021. The job will entail work both before and after the workshops themselves, and the site manager will participate in all aspects of the workshops, held virtually July 11-16, and July 25-30, 2021. The work to be completed includes but is not limited to: locating and/or developing materials for participating school teachers, participating in Zoom and other meetings with guest scholars/speakers, overseeing the development of the workshops, and serving as a liaison to individual scholars and participating teachers as needed.

Required Qualifications

Substantive knowledge of the workshops’ topic – school desegregation in Virginia – is required.

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with secondary-level teaching/education, strongly preferred.
