Title: Administrative Associate
Position Summary: Employee performs a variety of clerical duties for the Nursing program. Typical duties include sorting and distribution of mail, typing, word processing, file maintenance, answering telephone, and providing information to callers and visitors.
Duties and Responsibilities: Performs clerical tasks such as typing and filing. Operates computer to access e-mail, electronic calendars, and other basic office support software. Receives, sorts, and distributes mail. Maintains and orders office and lab supplies. Arranges for interviews/meetings and keeps appointment schedule as directed. Prepares reports, correspondence, manuscripts, technical documents, forms, vouchers and classroom materials ensuring accuracy. Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent. Three years of related office experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Associate's degree. Certified Administrative Professional (CAP) Certification.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Work Characteristics: Knowledge of administrative procedures and filing systems. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment and handle confidential information. Ability to handle difficult situations and establish effective working relationships. Ability to appropriately direct conflict and/or grievances. Ability to adapt, learn, and utilize new computer software programs and understand new and changing policy procedures adopted by the college. Be committed to a positive customer service philosophy. Must be detail oriented, highly organized and self-motivated.
Pay Rate: 26,940.00 - 32,330.00 annual salary depending on experience
