About the Opportunity:
The Department of Biology and Chemistry and Chemical Biology at Northeastern University (https://cos.northeastern.edu/biology/ and https://cos.northeastern.edu/chemistry/) College of Science, invites applications for a non-tenure track position of Assistant or Associate Teaching Professor. The position is based at the San Francisco campus with 25% of time spent at the Seattle campus.

Responsibilities:
The Assistant/Associate Teaching Professor will be responsible for teaching up to five graduate courses per academic year. Teaching responsibilities are subject to modification based on both program's needs and at the Dean's discretion based upon the time commitment of the service requirement. In addition to teaching, this individual will be responsible for a service competent within his/her role, which will include helping to lead the progress and growth of the Professional Master's programs in Bioinformatics and Biotechnology in the San Francisco and Seattle campus locations, student advising and developing partnerships with industry employers. The person in this position reports to the Chair of the departments and works closely with the Program Directors and Dean's Office in the College of Science in order to partner for efficiencies in marketing and operational direction.

Qualifications:
The successful applicant will have the knowledge to develop and teach bioinformatics and biotechnology courses at the Master's level, and will have the ability to contribute to and execute the program director's vision to scale the program beyond its current reach.

Candidates must have a Ph.D. in fields related to biotechnology and/or bioinformatics prior to the start of the appointment, prior teaching experience at the university level, and excellent communication skills. Candidates must have the ability to work productively and successfully interact with students, faculty, and staff.
