Position Summary:

The Multi-site Clinical Research Program Manager will function on the management team with the Clinical Research Central Office (CRCO), serving at the direction of the Assistant Director of Clinical Research for the University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center (UWCCC). The position will oversee the multi-site clinical research program of both external sites and internally. The position will focus on ensuring systems, processes, and workflows of the multi-site clinical research program are in line with grants and other research-related requirements. The selected candidate must demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills and an ability to work with study teams, health care providers, external institutions and the National Cancer Institute. The incumbent will work independently and as part of a group on multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing projects based on deadlines and interdisciplinary collaboration, while using initiative and good judgement. The Clinical Research Program Manager is expected to follow the policies, procedures, guidelines, and standards for excellence and professionalism established by the UWCCC and the University of Wisconsin. Additionally, this position will assure that all research activity adheres to Federal, State and University policies, procedures and requirements.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

Bachelor's Degree required; preferred focus: biomedical or social science, healthcare or related field.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

- A minimum of 7 years' of experience in clinical research required at the senior level.
- Oncology experience required.
- Experience with clinical research monitoring required.
- Management experience, both project management and supervision of full time staff, required.
- NCI grant/contract oversight experience required.
