ANNUAL CLERY SAFETY REPORT ( ASR ) NOTICE FIRE SAFETY REPORT ( FSA ) and MISSING PERSON POLICY ( MPP ) FOR STUDENTS RESIDING IN “ON CAMPUS” STUDENT HOUSING
Joliet Junior College is committed to assisting members of the JJC community in providing for their own safety and security. The annual CLERY security compliance document along with the Fire Safety Report ( FSR ) and the Missing Person Policy ( MPP ) for students residing in “on campus” student housing is available at the JJC Police Department website :

If you would like to receive the ASR, FSR or MPP in booklet form, you may stop by the Campus Police Department located on Main Campus in G 1013 or call Campus Police at 815-280-2234. The website and booklet contain information regarding campus security and personal safety such as crime prevention and reporting, police law enforcement authority, disciplinary procedures and other related security policies. They also contain information about crime statistics for the three previous years for all JJC campuses, property owned and controlled by JJC District 525 and on public property immediately adjacent to JJC campuses.

This information is required by law and is made available by the Joliet Junior College Police Department. Position Summary

POSITION SUMMARY
Provides career planning and job search services to students and alumni. Assists students develop and follow sound career plans that are consistent with their personal values, interests, goals, and career paths.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Coordinate outreach initiatives and programming for undecided students.
2. Advise students with job seeking skills; Provide information regarding resume writing, networking and interviewing and access to job postings and student employment information.
3. Assess individual student needs, help develop educational/employment goals, make recommendations, and track and evaluate student progress.
4. Coordinate, design and implement presentations on career planning and development and job search topics.
5. Advise students on major selection, career exploration, and goal setting by facilitating awareness of their work-related strengths, interests, values and understanding of the world of work.
6. Work closely with the Employer Relations Coordinator and Employment Advisor to connect students with appropriate experiential learning, internship and employment opportunities that will aid in clarifying future career goals and exploring career interests.
7. Coordinate the assessment of career exploration and employment resources and programs, evaluate effectiveness, and make recommendations.
8. Select, administer and interpret a variety of assessment instruments including the Strong Interest Inventory and Myers-Briggs Type Indicator ( MBTI ).
9. Collaborate with academic departments to strengthen communication with and between the Career Services Center, students and faculty and promote career exploration/planning services, activities and programs.
10. Market, plan, and promote Career Services Center events and programs.
11. Provide online and/or remote counseling to students utilizing current technology.
12. Advise students at other campuses and sites as assigned.
13. Perform related duties as assigned.
