Job Description:

This full-time, 12-month, exempt position serves as a primary recruiter and territory manager in the Office of Admissions. The successful candidate for this position will possess a can-do attitude and a desire to work in a team-oriented environment, while also being able to work independently. A sense of humor and flexibility is strongly desired.

  • Planning and implementing recruitment travel in a defined territory;
  • Conducting student interviews and evaluating perspective students;
  • Reviewing applications for admission;
  • Contacting prospective students and applicants using all methods available including phone, email, texting, and social media;
  • Representing Dean College at in-person and virtual college fairs, high school visits, and other recruitment events;
  • Monitoring prospective students' activity from inquiry to enrollment;
  • Coordinating admissions-related activities, processes, and procedures;
  • Providing admission presentations to campus visitors and various constituent groups in person and virtually;
  • Completing routine reports related to recruitment, projections, personal schedule, travel, and special programs;
  • Evening and weekend work will be required, including significant recruitment travel which is heaviest in September, October, November, March and April;
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree, required;
  • COVID-19 Vaccination, required;
  • Valid driver's license, required;
  • Experience working in higher education, preferred;
  • One year or more of professional or student admissions experience, preferred;
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse campus setting including students and employees, required;
  • Demonstrate experience handling multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain good organizational skills, required;
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, required;
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills with an attention to detail, required;
  • Experience utilizing technology including Microsoft Office, web-based tools, and student information systems, required.

The Dean College Athletics Department is a Division III member of the NCAA and competes as a member of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC), Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC), and complies with all NCAA Division III Rules and Regulations.
