Position Primary Purpose and General Responsibilities
The Virginia Early Intervention Professional Development ( VEIPD ) team, through the Integrated Training Collaborative ( ITC ), coordinates Virginia’s Comprehensive System of Personnel Development ( CSPD ) for early interventionists who provide early intervention services for infants and toddlers, birth to age two, with developmental delays and disabilities and their families under Part C of the Individuals with Disabilities Act ( IDEA ). Our team shares a commitment to a coordinated and consistent plan of preservice and in-service training as part of a comprehensive system of personnel development, in order to ensure the provision of services by highly qualified personnel.
Therefore, we are searching for a dynamic candidate who can peform the following responsibilities:
Audio and Multimedia Production
Design, develop, edit, and produce digital products (webinars, videos, podcasts) in collaboration with content specialists
Provide user tech support
Archive and convert files to allow for YouTube closed captioning
Graphic Design
Design and produce print and digital layouts (presentation slide decks, handouts, posters, infographics, etc.)
Design, develop, and manage marketing materials including logos, branding, etc.
Design, develop and maintain social media resources in collaboration with content specialists
Design, direct and implement email campaigns for product marketing
Web or Digital Design, Development, and Maintenance
Perform front-end web development requiring skilled knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.
Implement responsive web design
Ensure Web Content Accessibility Guidelines ( WCAG ) compliance
Mentor, Coach, Train
Collaborate with and cross-train content specialists
Provide technology technical support for end users
Other Duties as assigned
Minimum Hiring Standards
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat)
Proficiency with Adobe Dreamweaver
Skilled knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.
Skilled knowledge of WordPress sites and social media
Proficiency with video and audio editing using Camtasia (or similar software)
Proficiency providing technical expertise and support
Instructional design skills
Ability to manage multiple complex tasks and priorities independently and with a team
Self-initiation with ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision
Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing
Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff and student environment or commitment to do so as a staff member at VCU .
Preferred Hiring Standards
Knowledge of adult learning principles
Knowledge of early childhood, early childhood special education, and/or disabilities
Bachelor’s degree
Required Licenses/ Certifications Anticipated Hiring Range $56,240 - $72,080 Application Process/Additional Information
This is a full-time grant funded position, currently funded at 80%. Effort may be increased to 100% if additional funds are received in the future.
Final salary and job level will be based on experience.
