The Marketing Assistant will assist with the day-to-day activities
required to support the goals of the Marketing and Communications
Department. This position is part-time, non-benefited, limited to 28
hours per week.

Specifically, duties include:
● Assisting with email newsletter designs, and moving them
through the review and distribution process
● Proofreading and editing copy for stories, newsletters and
various other forms of copy content
● Assisting with website content updates, digital marketing
campaigns, data analytics and other web-related activities
● Assisting with photography/videography assignments as
● Captioning video content
● Assisting with management and maintenance of social
media platforms
● Assisting with scheduling meetings and events, as well as
follow-up action items
● Assisting with organization of digital materials
● Tracking and aggregating media placements related to
College of Engineering

Required Qualifications

● The College of Engineering supports a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment. The candidate will demonstrate experience that shows their commitment to fostering such an environment.
● Must be detail-oriented, have good observation skills and a willingness to learn and collaborate with other team members.
● Excellent interpersonal, organizational, time management and communication skills.
● Very strong proofreading and editing skills. A working knowledge of Associated Press (AP) style.
● Ability to establish priorities, work independently and multitask.
● Working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office tools and the Google Suite.
● Working knowledge of HTML and CSS .
● Understanding of and familiarity with social media platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

● Proficiency with AP style.
● Working knowledge of the Mailchimp email marketing platform.
● Working knowledge of content management systems.
● Proficiency with Photoshop and Illustrator.
